Dr. Eugene Wang is board certified in neurology, pain medicine and neuroimaging. He earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine after receiving honors from the Johns Hopkins University’s five-year neuroscience program. Dr. Wang is fellowship-trained in pain management from Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia and in neuroimaging from the Dent Neurologic Institute in Buffalo, NY. Receiving many accolades throughout his career, he was most recently honored with the American Society of Neuroimaging’s Oldendorf Award for his abstract on brain research, and has had multiple publications in major peer-reviewed pain journals.
Before joining Coastal Spine and Pain Center, Dr. Wang has been a health care specialist, counselor for the developmentally disabled, extensive researcher and neurologist. He joins Coastal Spine from United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY where he served as an interventional pain physician and neuroimager. Dr. Wang is a member of the American Society of Neuroimaging, the Spine Intervention Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the American Academy of Neurology. In addition to his many speaking engagements, he enjoys playing the violin, racquetball, tennis, traveling and cooking.
